Hi everyone,
It’s been a few months since I’ve posted in here. A lot of stuff has been brewing in my mind, things I really want to write about but am having a hard time articulating. So there are a few articles on the way. I’m going to be writing about social justice and what we should do with that term now that people have taken it to the extreme and made a bad name for it, religion and how its place as behavior modification within individual cultural systems has changed as globalization and our ever changing world allow for us to choose bits and pieces of different traditions to create our own sense of spirituality, and the issue of grandparents who are raising their grandchildren due in large part to opiate addiction.
In other news, I recently had the opportunity to go to France with one of my college professors to do ethnographic research on small dairy farms. We are going to be doing a cross cultural comparison on small scale farming in Quebec, Canada, France, Croatia and Northern NY, U.S.A. Writing and links to our work as we get some articles published will be posted here on AnthroPerspectives. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of this research. It was so incredible to feel the anthropologist in me coming back to life.
